System identification applied to a single area electric power system under frequency response

This research paper proposes a methodology to apply identification methods find simplified model of three different governors in single area electric power system (SAEPS). A SAEPS with governors-turbine is presented: hydraulic turbine, steam turbine and reheat turbine. In this same investigation, an analytic reduction has been performed, fifth order was found analytically, thus transfer function equivalent the governor-turbine elements obtained, models complete behavior devices. Two systems (SI) algorithms have proposed them generic subspace state-space (N4SID) generalized poisson moment functionals (GPMF) electrical system, these presented similar results. The results performance simulation analysis exhibit that using SI technique, fifth, fourth third-order were obtained graphically show very small estimation error compared original signal, fact could be check simulating input-output data. are table shows comparison respond fourth, third second-order systems.
